About Us

For some time, I’ve longed to see more of the arts in the church. I’ve felt in my spirit that the arts were an important part of a full expression of the church, Jesus’ body. In the early 2000’s I helped to start a church with some friends, and I searched for established prophetic art ministries to learn from. I found none. So, I began leaning into the Holy Spirit and trying out creative expressions with the wonderfully willing people in our new church. I’m a 3D artist more than a painter, so we created 3D art installations. The Holy Spirit filled the room, and unexpectedly, spoke to the depths of our hearts in ways that He only could through beauty.

So, if you’re like me and searching for beautiful art (or home goods) with some supernatural revelation in it, I hope you will find what you were looking for here. I believe that we have just begun to experience what the Lord wants to do through the arts. My hope is that Art Encounters becomes a community to develop and promote prophetic artists, and for all to encounter the Lord through the beauty of the arts. I hope you’ll be a part of building out this expression of the Lord, whether it’s as one who celebrates the arts with us, creates with us, or shares this revelation of the Lord with others.
